What John Rogers Can Do For You:
We help remodeling company owners improve their sales process, estimating systems, job costing, scheduling, financial reporting, operational systems, and profitability.
Good craftsmanship alone does not guarantee a profitable remodeling company.
Profitable companies are typically built on:
strong sales systems
accurate estimating
disciplined job costing
controlled production
clear financial reporting
operational accountability
consistent processes
That is the work we help improve.
Many remodeling companies stay busy while still struggling with inconsistent profitability, schedule drift, cash flow pressure, or operational inefficiencies.
In many cases, the problem is not craftsmanship.
The problem is that the business lacks the systems, reporting, controls, and operational discipline necessary to consistently understand where profit is being made—or lost.
Predictable profitability is the goal—because guessing isn’t a strategy.
Predictable Profitability
Profitable remodeling companies are not typically built through luck, momentum, or occasional large projects. They are built through a strong sales process, accurate estimating systems, disciplined execution, consistent job costing, and regular financial reporting review.
Predictable profitability often requires:
clear scope definition
accurate estimating
disciplined job costing
controlled production
schedule management
operational accountability
consistent gross profit margins
understanding overhead
controlled change orders
reliable financial reporting

More Than Just A Theory
The remodeling industry is filled with consultants, coaches, and advisors who understand business concepts but have never actually built and operated a remodeling company.
John Rogers spent more than two decades building and operating a residential remodeling company in the Atlanta market before selling the business in 2019.
This experience included:
estimating
sales
contracts
production management
subcontractor coordination
job costing
financial management
client communication
schedule management
overhead control
operational systems
Many remodeling companies operate successfully with one or two employees for years. However, as companies grow, operational complexity increases.
Production systems, scheduling, estimating accuracy, communication, job costing, financial reporting, accountability, and overall operational structure become increasingly important as volume and staffing grow.
The Successful Remodeler focuses on helping remodeling company owners improve these systems and operations as their businesses grow and evolve.
Our focus is not motivational coaching or generic business theory.
Our focus is helping remodeling company owners build more predictable, profitable, and professionally managed companies through stronger operational and financial understanding.
How It Works:
The Successful Remodeler works directly with remodeling company owners in an continual coaching and advisory role focused on helping companies become more organized, predictable, and consistently profitable.
Most client relationships require approximately 3–5 hours per week and begin with an operational overview assessing sales, production, accounting systems, estimating procedures, financial reporting, and overall company structure.
The focus quickly moves into areas such as profit and loss structure, job costing procedures, operational processes, scheduling, production management, accountability, and overall operational efficiency.
Services are billed at $150 per hour.
